Pathankot – Punjab Police’s Counter Intelligence unit in Pathankot has successfully foiled a target killing attempt by dismantling an organised crime module involved in several serious offences.

According to officials, four individuals, including two juveniles, have been apprehended during the operation. Police also recovered two pistols along with ammunition from their possession.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the module had links with foreign-based operatives, including Nishan Singh of Jaurrian, Shamsher Singh alias Shera Mann alias Honey of Mann, and Sajan Masih alias Goru of Veroke in Dera Baba Nanak.

Authorities said the crackdown has provided crucial leads regarding other criminal activities taking place across Punjab. An FIR has been registered at the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) in Amritsar.

Punjab Police reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling organised crime syndicates and ensuring peace and security in the state.
