Punjab Teacher Narinder Singh Chosen for National Teachers’ Award 2025

Ludhiana: Punjab has earned a moment of pride as Narinder Singh, a teacher at Government Primary School, Jandiali in Ludhiana district, has been selected for the National Teachers’ Award 2025. His recognition stands as a tribute to his commitment to quality education and innovative teaching practices.

Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains congratulated Narinder Singh on his selection, calling it a remarkable achievement for both the educator and the state. He said Narinder’s dedication, creativity, and ability to inspire students reflect the true spirit of teaching, urging fellow educators to take inspiration from his journey.

The National Teachers’ Award will be presented on September 5, 2025, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The honour includes a certificate of merit, a silver medal, and a cash prize of ₹50,000, recognising his two decades of service in the School Education Department since January 2002.

Expressing gratitude for the honour, Narinder Singh said he was humbled by the recognition and credited his students, colleagues, and the education department for their support. He also praised the collective efforts of the village panchayat and the Punjab government in transforming Jandiali school. The institution now boasts 15 smart classrooms, three libraries including a mobile library, and three subject-specific parks – Sundar Likhai Park, Math Park, and IT Park.

Narinder Singh reaffirmed his commitment to shaping young minds and strengthening the spirit of learning, stating that he would continue to strive for excellence in education.
