Islamabad: An Iranian delegation of 10 members is set to arrive in Islamabad on Thursday to participate in high-level talks aimed at resolving ongoing tensions with the United States and Israel.

The negotiations are scheduled for Friday, just days after a two-week ceasefire was announced. Donald Trump had earlier confirmed his agreement to the ceasefire, which was proposed by Shehbaz Sharif. Following this, Prime Minister Sharif extended invitations to both Iranian and US delegations for discussions in Islamabad to work toward a comprehensive resolution.

Reza Amiri Moghadam, Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, confirmed his country’s participation while noting continued skepticism among Iranians over the peace process, citing alleged ceasefire violations by Israel. He tweeted that the delegation would address discussions based on 10 points outlined by Iran.

The US delegation, led by Vice President JD Vance, is also expected to arrive in the Pakistani capital, though no exact timing has been provided.

Officials emphasized that the talks, set for Friday, are intended to advance diplomatic efforts and establish a long-term framework to prevent further hostilities in the region.
