Ludhiana (Punjab): Tension gripped Ludhiana after an incident of sacrilege was reported from a gurdwara in village Jugiana, Sahnewal. A woman allegedly disrobed and threw her clothes in front of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, sparking anger among the Sikh community.
The incident, captured on video and widely shared on social media, shows the woman arguing inside the gurdwara before tearing her clothes. Despite repeated attempts by women devotees to restrain her, she continued causing a disturbance in the holy premises.
Sikh organizations have strongly condemned the act, demanding strict action against the accused. The viral video has intensified outrage, with community leaders calling it a deliberate attempt to hurt religious sentiments.
Police have identified the accused as Prakash Kaur and registered an FIR. Officials assured that she will be arrested soon and necessary legal action will follow.
