New Delhi: Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken cognisance of widespread unseasonal rainfall and hailstorms across several states, directing officials to carry out an immediate assessment of crop damage.

The Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister assured farmers that there is no need to panic, stressing that the government stands firmly with them during this challenging period.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Chouhan has instructed officials to closely monitor the impact of the adverse weather and collect detailed reports from affected states. He also emphasised the need for continuous coordination with state governments to track the evolving situation.

The ministry said the Union Minister will soon hold discussions with agriculture ministers of the concerned states to assess the extent of losses and decide on necessary relief measures.

The move comes amid growing concerns over damage to standing crops due to sudden weather changes, with both central and state governments stepping up response efforts to support farmers.
