Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, while addressing the ‘Dhanyavaad Evam Viksit Faridabad Rally’ in Faridabad on Saturday, made several significant announcements for the city. He stated that to reduce vehicular pollution, major junctions in the city will be improved in a phased manner to ensure smooth traffic flow and reduce pollution.

He said due to quality issues arising from groundwater-based water supply, the possibility of providing fresh drinking water from the Upper Ganga Canal will be explored. For this, coordination will be established with the Uttar Pradesh Government, and necessary steps will be taken to bring Ganga canal water to Faridabad.
The Chief Minister announced that rainwater harvesting systems will be installed in 50 community centres and parks in Faridabad city in the first phase. In addition, all government buildings will also be equipped with rainwater harvesting systems by the concerned departments, which will help in water conservation and address the issue of waterlogging.

He said that a nature park will be developed in Greater Faridabad under the Divya Nagar scheme at a cost of approximately ₹10 crore. The Chief Minister also announced that a large banquet hall will be developed above a multi-level parking facility on about 3 acres of HSVP land in front of the convention hall and near the Labour Court.
He further stated that the state government will provide land for setting up a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Greater Faridabad to ensure access to quality education for children in the area.

The Chief Minister also announced the establishment of a multi-speciality hospital in Sector-8 under the PPP mode. Additionally, IMT Sector-66 will be developed as a commercial sector and transformed into an entertainment city, featuring modern amenities such as cinema halls, hotels, and multiplexes.
He also announced that the swimming pool located in Sector-12 will be upgraded under PPP mode and developed into an all-weather facility meeting international standards.
Nayab Singh Saini also announced an additional grant of ₹5 crore for development works. He said that the recently approved Delhi–Gurugram–Faridabad–Noida RRTS/Namo Bharat corridor will provide new economic strength to Faridabad and significantly enhance connectivity in the region.
