Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the teaser captures key moments from the epic narrative, portraying Ram’s journey from royal life to exile with a sense of calm authority and spiritual depth. Kapoor’s portrayal stands out for its composed demeanor and regal presence, reflecting the revered character with subtle intensity.

The teaser also offers a brief but striking look at Yash in the role of Ravana, hinting at a powerful face-off in the forthcoming saga. Though his appearance is fleeting, it adds intrigue to the larger narrative being built.

Ahead of the teaser launch, Alia Bhatt shared a heartfelt message on social media, encouraging viewers to support the film. She praised Kapoor’s dedication to the project, describing his performance as remarkable and expressing excitement for audiences to witness the final result.

The scale of the film has drawn widespread attention, with producer Namit Malhotra revealing that the project has been mounted on a massive budget exceeding ₹4,000 crore for its two parts combined. He described the venture as a global cinematic effort aimed at presenting India’s most celebrated epic on an unprecedented scale.

Adding to the film’s appeal is its music, composed through a rare collaboration between A. R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The duo is working to blend traditional elements with a global sound, aiming to reimagine the epic’s emotional and cultural depth for modern audiences.

The film features a strong ensemble cast, including Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, and Ravi Dubey in key roles.

Planned as a two-part cinematic event, the first instalment is slated for release during Diwali 2026, with the second part expected to follow in Diwali 2027. With its scale, cast, and creative ambition, the film is poised to become a landmark in Indian cinema, aiming to take a timeless story to audiences around the world.
