Amritsar: The iconic Retreat Ceremony at the Attari-Wagah Border will now be held at a revised time, with authorities announcing a change in schedule effective April 1.
As per the new arrangement, the daily ceremony will commence at 5:30 PM and conclude at 6:00 PM. Earlier, the event used to take place between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM. Officials said the adjustment has been made in view of changing daylight hours and prevailing weather conditions to ensure better visibility and smoother coordination.
The ceremony, known for its high-energy display of discipline and patriotism by border forces of India and Pakistan, attracts thousands of visitors every day. With the updated schedule now in place, tourists and locals have been advised to plan their visit accordingly and reach the venue well in advance.
Authorities also highlighted that the revised timing is aimed at enhancing the overall experience for spectators while maintaining strict security protocols at the border.
The Beating Retreat ceremony remains one of the most popular attractions in the region, drawing crowds who enthusiastically participate by raising patriotic slogans and cheering for the troops.
