CM Reviews Progress of Centrally Sponsored Schemes, Stresses Timely and Transparent Utilisation of Funds

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting to review the progress of centrally sponsored schemes being implemented across various departments with grants received from the Central Government.

During the meeting, a comprehensive review was undertaken of fund utilisation, implementation status, and pending works under different schemes. Emphasising outcome-oriented governance, the Chief Minister directed officers to ensure timely and effective utilisation of sanctioned funds so that citizens can derive maximum benefit from these schemes.

Highlighting the importance of fiscal discipline and accountability,  Nayab Singh Saini said that optimal and transparent use of Central grants is crucial for accelerating the state’s development. The Chief Minister  while reviewing the schemes having slower progress and directed the officers  concerned to expedite implementation and resolve bottlenecks on priority. He stressed on the need to strengthen inter-departmental coordination and monitoring mechanisms for more efficient execution.

To ensure seamless coordination between the Centre and the State, the Chief Minister directed all administrative departments to designate nodal officers, who will maintain regular liaison with concerned Central Ministries and departments.  Reiterating the government’s commitment to transparency and good governance,
