HPPSC Chairman Calls on Governor, Discusses Recruitment Transparency

SHIMLA: Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission Captain Rameshwar Singh Thakur along with other Members of the Commission called on Governor Kavinder Gupta at Lok Bhavan in Shimla, today.

During the meeting, the Chairman apprised the Governor about the ongoing activities and initiatives of the Commission, particularly with regard to the conduct of examinations, recruitment processes and efforts being undertaken to ensure transparency, efficiency and fairness in the selection of candidates for various government services in the State. Various administrative and institutional matters related to the functioning of the Commission were also discussed in detail.

The Governor appreciated the role of the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission in maintaining high standards of merit and integrity in the recruitment process. He emphasized the importance of adopting modern technology driven systems to further enhance transparency, accountability and efficiency in examinations and recruitment procedures.

Sh. Gupta further highlighted that a fair and credible recruitment system plays a crucial role in strengthening public trust in governance and contributes significantly to the overall development of the State. He expressed confidence that the Commission would continue to discharge its responsibilities with dedication and professionalism.

Members of HPPSC including Col. Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Dr. Pawnesh Sharma, Prof. Mamta Mokta and Rakhil Kahlon, Secretary Nivedita Negi, and Additional Secretary Chhavi Nanta were also present on the occasion.
