Delhi: Residents of Delhi experienced a relatively cooler morning on Tuesday, with the minimum temperature settling at 16.6 degrees Celsius—around one degree below the seasonal average.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the day is expected to witness partly cloudy skies, with the maximum temperature likely to reach close to 30–31 degrees Celsius, indicating a gradual rise in daytime warmth.

Temperature readings across various parts of the city showed slight variations. At Palam, the minimum was recorded at 17.4 degrees Celsius, marginally above normal, while Lodhi Road saw 16.1 degrees Celsius, also slightly higher than usual. In contrast, the Ridge area recorded 17.1 degrees Celsius—two degrees below normal—making it one of the cooler spots in the city. Aya Nagar reported a minimum of 16.7 degrees Celsius, also below the expected range.

Meteorologists suggest that the mix of mild chill in the early hours and warmer afternoons reflects a transitional weather phase as the city moves towards the summer season.

Meanwhile, air quality in the capital remained in the “moderate” category. Data from the Central Pollution Control Board indicated an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 168, which, while not alarming, still calls for caution among sensitive groups.

Experts advise residents to stay updated on weather changes and air quality levels, especially as fluctuating conditions continue to impact daily life in the capital.
