AAP Leader Laljit Singh Bhullar Arrested in Connection with District Manager’s Suicide Case

Chandigarh: Former Punjab Cabinet minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Laljit Singh Bhullar has been arrested by police in connection with the alleged suicide of District Manager Gagandeep Singh Randhawa.

An FIR had earlier been registered against Bhullar, his father Sukhdev Singh Bhullar, and his personal assistant Dilbagh Singh at Ranjit Avenue Police Station following a complaint filed by Upinder Kaur, the wife of the deceased.

According to official documents, the case has been registered under Sections 108, 351(3) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The FIR states that the incident occurred on March 21, 2026, and was formally recorded later that night around 11:51 PM.

Police have initiated further investigation into the matter, while details regarding the circumstances leading to the alleged suicide are being examined.
