Chandigarh: Haryana’s Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Sh. Rajesh Nagar, has said that the supply of petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG gas in the state is completely normal.
Providing information in this regard Nagar stated that oil marketing companies have supplied a total of 226,162 domestic gas cylinders (14.2 kg) across the state in the past five days. At present, the total stock of LPG cylinders at bottling plants across the state stands at 1,139,787.
He further informed that a total of 1,422 commercial cylinders (19 kg) have been supplied across the state in the past 30 days. Currently, the total stock of commercial LPG cylinders at bottling plants stands at 190,08
The Minister of State said that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, New Delhi, had issued an important letter on March 9, 2026, providing necessary guidelines to ensure proper and equitable distribution and availability of domestic LPG gas for priority sectors. In compliance with these guidelines, the Haryana Government has taken all necessary steps with immediate effect.
At present, the supply of petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG gas in Haryana is running smoothly. Major oil companies—Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)—have sufficient stock available.
On a priority basis, the supply of commercial cylinders is being ensured to educational institutions, hospitals, and other establishments associated with essential services. Special teams have been formed to normalize the remaining distribution, and the situation is expected to be fully under control soon.
The Minister stated that the primary objective of the government is to ensure adequate availability of cooking gas in every household and to ensure smooth functioning of vehicle engines. With the support of the Central Government, a strong distribution network has been developed at the state level, comprising over 5,000 distributors. Through these, lakhs of cylinders are being distributed daily.
