New Delhi: Residents of New Delhi experienced a warmer-than-usual morning on Sunday, with the minimum temperature settling at 16.7 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department.

The temperature was recorded 2.7 degrees above the normal level for this time of the season, indicating slightly warmer conditions in the national capital.

Weather officials have predicted that the city will witness mainly clear skies throughout the day. The maximum temperature is expected to climb to around 36 degrees Celsius, suggesting a relatively hot afternoon for early March.

Humidity levels were also high in the morning, with relative humidity touching 90 per cent at around 8:30 am. Such conditions can make the early hours feel warmer than the recorded temperature.

Meteorologists said that clear skies are likely to continue for the rest of the day, allowing temperatures to rise gradually as the day progresses.

In recent days, Delhi has been experiencing fluctuating temperatures as the winter season transitions towards warmer spring conditions. With the forecast pointing towards clear weather, residents may see sunny conditions dominating the city’s skyline through the day. 🌤️
