As conflicting accounts continue to circulate, videos purportedly from several Iranian cities show groups of people gathering in public spaces, with some celebrating and chanting slogans critical of the Islamic Republic. International broadcasters reported scenes of cheering, whistling, and calls for political change in certain urban areas.
Clips shared on social media platforms also appeared to show gatherings in Besat Town near Karaj, where people were seen applauding and waving flags. Some Iranian activists abroad posted messages expressing disbelief and emotional reactions to the developments, describing the moment as historic.
Beyond Iran, footage from London showed expatriate Iranians and Israelis assembling in public areas, reportedly marking the news together. These scenes have further amplified the global attention surrounding the unfolding situation.
Exiled crown prince Reza Pahlavi issued a statement urging Iranians to remain united and to prepare for what he described as a potential transition toward a new political future. He argued that any move by the current establishment to appoint a successor would lack legitimacy and warned security forces against attempting to preserve what he called a collapsing system.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump posted remarks on social media praising the outcome of the strikes, framing it as justice and reiterating his administration’s hardline position on Iran.
