PM Modi to Meet French President Emmanuel Macron in Mumbai, Strategic Ties in Focus

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet French President Emmanuel Macron in Mumbai on Tuesday, where the two leaders are set to review the progress of the India-France strategic partnership and explore avenues to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.

According to an official statement, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Mumbai on February 17 for the high-level meeting. The discussions are expected to focus on consolidating strategic ties and expanding collaboration into new and emerging sectors.

During their engagements, the two leaders will also exchange views on key regional and global developments of mutual interest.

President Macron is on an official visit to India from February 17 to 19 at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi. He will participate in the AI Impact Summit hosted by India and hold a bilateral summit with the Prime Minister in Mumbai. This marks Macron’s fourth visit to India and his first visit to Mumbai.

At around 3:15 pm on February 17, the leaders will hold bilateral talks at Lok Bhavan in Mumbai. Later, at approximately 5:15 pm, they will jointly inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation 2026 and address an audience comprising business leaders, start-ups, researchers and innovators from both nations.

The visit is expected to further deepen the long-standing partnership between India and France across strategic, economic and technological domains.
