DHURI: On the sacred occasion of Maha Shivratri, Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann paid obeisance at the revered Sri Rankeshwar Mahadev Temple and performed prayers at the historic Siddh Peeth, seeking blessings for peace, prosperity and continued progress of Punjab and the nation. Extending greetings on the festival, Kejriwal described Maha Shivratri as a civilizational celebration rooted in India’s ancient spiritual tradition and prayed for Lord Bholenath’s blessings upon every citizen.

Bhagwant Mann reaffirmed that the Punjab Government remains committed to preserving and promoting the state’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage for future generations. He emphasized that from commemorating the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur to celebrating the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas, Punjab continues to honour its glorious legacy with pride and devotion while promoting peace, harmony and brotherhood in society.

The leaders highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of Maha Shivratri, stating that the festival inspires devotion, truth, self-discipline and spiritual awakening. They noted that Sri Rankeshwar Mahadev is regarded as a revered Siddh Peeth in Punjab’s Malwa region and symbolizes the continuity of centuries-old faith and traditions. They further stressed that such religious occasions strengthen social unity and help preserve the region’s living cultural heritage for the coming generations.
