New Delhi: In his first set of decisions after moving into his new office at the Seva Teerth complex, Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved a series of measures aimed at benefiting farmers, women, youth and vulnerable sections of society.

Soon after shifting to the new premises on Friday, the Prime Minister cleared the launch of the PM RAHAT scheme, doubled the target for Lakhpati Didis, enhanced the outlay of the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund and sanctioned Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0.

Under the PM RAHAT scheme, accident victims will be entitled to cashless treatment of up to Rs 1.5 lakh, with the objective of ensuring that critical medical care is not delayed due to financial constraints.

In a significant push for women’s empowerment, the Prime Minister set a revised target of creating 6 crore Lakhpati Didis by March 2029, doubling the earlier goal. The decision follows the achievement of 3 crore Lakhpati Didis more than a year ahead of the initial March 2027 deadline.

To strengthen the agriculture sector, the outlay of the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund has been doubled from Rs 1 lakh crore to Rs 2 lakh crore. The move is aimed at bolstering the farm value chain, improving post-harvest infrastructure and supporting rural development.

The Prime Minister also approved the Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0 with a corpus of Rs 10,000 crore to support deep tech, early-stage ventures, advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies, reinforcing the country’s innovation ecosystem.

Earlier in the day, Modi inaugurated the Seva Teerth complex, which will house the Prime Minister’s Office, the National Security Council Secretariat and the Cabinet Secretariat. The Prime Minister’s Office will now function from the new complex instead of the South Block on Raisina Hill, bringing key administrative offices under one roof.
