Abohar: A teenage girl was found murdered in a hotel room on Malout Road in Abohar, Fazilka district, sending shockwaves through the local community. The victim’s body was discovered in a blood-soaked condition inside the room, with visible injuries inflicted by a sharp-edged weapon. Police suspect that the crime may have been committed by a young man who had checked into the hotel with her.
According to preliminary information, the girl had arrived at the hotel with her boyfriend. Hotel staff revealed that the couple had taken a room together. Shortly after checking in, the young man allegedly left the premises on the pretext of collecting a food order from Zomato and did not return. Approximately half an hour later, the girl was found dead inside the room.
The body was reportedly found in a semi-nude condition, bearing multiple injury marks consistent with an attack using a sharp weapon. Upon receiving information about the incident, local police officials rushed to the scene and began an immediate investigation. The area was cordoned off, and forensic teams were called in to collect evidence.
Police sources said that efforts are underway to determine the exact sequence of events and establish the motive behind the alleged murder. Authorities are examining CCTV footage from the hotel and surrounding areas to trace the suspect’s movements.
The deceased has been identified as Aarti, a Class 11 student of a government girls’ school in Abohar. She belonged to a migrant family residing in the Gaushala area of the city. Her parents, Jai Lal and Guddi Devi, stated that a young man named Sachin had been in contact with their daughter. The accused has been identified as 22-year-old Sachin, a resident of Khui Khera village in Abohar.
The grieving family has demanded strict action and justice for their daughter. Meanwhile, police officials have assured that a thorough and impartial investigation is being conducted to uncover the truth and bring the accused to justice.
