Combined Annual Training Camp of 2 NCC Battalion Concludes at NCC Academy, Ropar

Ropar: The Combined Annual Training Camp of 2 NCC Battalion concluded successfully at the NCC Academy, Ropar. Around 200 NCC Senior and Junior Division/Wing cadets participated in the 10-day training camp (19-28 January 2026).

The camp was organised under the guidance of Camp Commandant Colonel D. S. Dhami, SM. Addressing the cadets at the concluding ceremony, Colonel Dhami stated that the camp provided an excellent opportunity for self-assessment and overall personality development.

During the camp, cadets received comprehensive training in physical fitness, weapon handling, firing, drill, map reading, and field craft. Special sessions were also conducted on meditation, stress management, and career guidance, highlighting future opportunities in the Armed Forces and Civil Services.

To foster a spirit of healthy competition, various sports and recreational activities such as volleyball, tug of war, musical chairs, sack race, lemon spoon race, physical fitness competitions, and cultural programmes were organised.

Additionally, the cadets were sensitised on road safety, first aid, HIV/AIDS awareness, fire safety, and health and hygiene throughout the duration of the camp.
