Chennai – Nagaland Governor La Ganesan died on Friday night while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai. He was 80.
According to Kohima Raj Bhavan officials, Ganesan had been admitted to the intensive care unit for the past few days. On August 8, he collapsed at his residence in Chennai and sustained a head injury. He was rushed to hospital, where doctors placed him under critical care until his demise.
La Ganesan was appointed as the 21st Governor of Nagaland on February 12, 2023, and assumed office on February 20 that year.
