Chandigarh: Educational activities in Chandigarh are set to return to normal as all schools in the city will reopen on Monday, January 19, following a brief disruption due to prevailing weather conditions. The Department of School Education confirmed that classes will resume with adjusted winter timings to ensure student safety and convenience.

Under the revised timetable, schools operating in a single shift will function from 9 am to 2.30 pm. Institutions following a double-shift system will begin their first session at 9 am, which will continue until 1.45 pm, while the second shift will run from 1.15 pm to 4.30 pm.

Officials said the updated schedule has been designed keeping in mind the seasonal cold and reduced daylight hours. School administrations have been advised to strictly follow the new timings and ensure smooth implementation as students return to classrooms.

Parents and guardians have been requested to take note of the revised hours and make necessary arrangements for transportation and attendance as regular academic routines resume across the city.
