New Delhi: InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo, has constituted a dedicated Crisis Management Group to oversee the airline’s ongoing operational disruptions, the company said in a statement on Sunday. The decision comes after several days of widespread flight delays and cancellations that have caused significant inconvenience to travellers nationwide.
According to the statement, the airline’s board has directed teams to prioritise passenger assistance and expedite refunds for all cancelled flights. IndiGo assured that every affected customer would receive support as the company works to stabilise operations.
IndiGo, India’s largest carrier, has been grappling with irregularities across multiple sectors in recent days, leaving thousands of passengers stranded or forced to rework travel plans. While the airline has not specified the root cause of the disruptions, the newly formed oversight group is expected to coordinate response measures and streamline communication.
The company said it is closely tracking developments and will continue to issue updates as efforts to restore normalcy progress.
