Chandigarh: Punjab, under the strong leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has achieved a historic milestone by launching Phase-2 of the FastTrack Punjab Portal. Now, investors will get access to a total of 173 government services under one roof, which will prove to be a milestone in making Punjab the most investor-friendly state in the country.
Industry and Commerce Minister Sanjeev Arora stated that these 173 G2B (Government-to-Business) services from 15 key departments are now available on a single digital platform. Punjab has probably become the first state in the country to provide such a large number of services under one roof, offering heaven-like facilities to investors.
The revolutionary reforms under the Punjab Right To Business Act (RTBA) have fast-tracked ten major approvals related to land allocation, construction permits, environmental clearances, and those linked to PSIEC industrial parks. All these services are now fully online and transparently available under this one roof.
The biggest achievement is that eligible projects within approved industrial parks will receive in-principle approval within just 5 working days. Even the world’s fastest industrial zones cannot match this speed. The Bhagwant Mann government has proven that bureaucracy can be turned into the greatest ally of investors.
Even in non-RTBA cases, all approvals will be compulsorily completed within a maximum of 45 working days. Where it used to take years before, now the complete benefit of 173 services under one roof will be available within legal time limits. This will inject new energy into investor confidence.
