Ferozepur — Continuing its anti-corruption drive, the Punjab Government has suspended Jaswinder Singh, Block Agriculture Officer of Guru Har Sahai, over alleged irregularities in agricultural equipment distribution.
According to officials, a major scam involving farm machinery surfaced under the Guru Har Sahai block, prompting immediate disciplinary action. Sources indicate that Jaswinder Singh’s suspension follows complaints regarding large-scale discrepancies in the handling and allocation of agricultural tools and machinery meant for farmers.
The case is part of an ongoing investigation, and officials have hinted that raids on several other Agriculture Department officers could follow in connection with the scam. These officers are reportedly under scrutiny for their possible involvement in the irregularities.
The Punjab Government has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, especially in departments that directly impact farmers. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against all officials found guilty after the inquiry.
