The accused has been identified as Lovesh, a resident of Chowki village in Kufri. The arrest took place at around 2:35 am near Rahighat on National Highway 5, when a patrolling police team spotted him acting suspiciously.

Upon noticing the police, Lovesh allegedly attempted to flee the scene and discarded a packet onto the roadside. Officers immediately caught him and recovered the package, which was confirmed to contain chitta.
