GOINDWAL SAHIB – A 21-year-old BSc Nursing student, Khushpreet Kaur, was found dead in her hostel room at the Baba Farid University Regional Centre, sparking a major controversy over student welfare. A resident of Ludhiana, Khushpreet was in her third year of study when she allegedly took her own life on Thursday.
Her grieving parents have leveled serious accusations against the university administration, claiming their daughter was subjected to months of mental torture by a specific class teacher. According to the family, despite formal complaints to the principal, the harassment continued unabated. They have since provided police with WhatsApp conversations in which Khushpreet reportedly identified those responsible for her distress.
While the college principal has dismissed the allegations, maintaining that the faculty shares a supportive bond with students, the Goindwal Sahib Police have launched a formal investigation. Authorities are currently conducting a post-mortem and reviewing the digital evidence provided by the family to determine the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
