Punjab Congress Feud Escalates: Navjot Kaur Sidhu Accuses Raja Warring of ₹2,400 Crore Scam and Land Grabbing

Chandigarh – The internal rift within the Punjab Congress has widened into a public legal and political battle. Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of former Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, has leveled explosive allegations against the current state president, Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, accusing him of massive corruption, land grabbing, and exploiting the state’s youth.

The allegations come shortly after Warring suspended Dr. Sidhu from the party’s primary membership following her controversial claim that a “₹500 crore suitcase” is required to become the Chief Minister of Punjab.

Allegations of Land Scams and Financial Fraud

In a series of scathing social media posts, Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu questioned the source of Warring’s alleged property holdings in Zirakpur. Her primary accusations include:

  • Illegal Land Acquisition: She alleged that Warring acquired 100 acres of land in Zirakpur, claiming 60 acres were seized through “forged signatures and thumb impressions” of innocent people.

  • ₹2,400 Crore Scam: Dr. Sidhu linked Warring to a massive financial scandal involving a former Rajasthan Congress in-charge, warning him to “prepare for jail.”

  • Exploiting Youth: She criticized Warring for charging a ₹75 joining fee from Punjab’s youth, questioning the utilization of the ₹7.5 crore reportedly collected and challenging him to show actual job placements facilitated by the party.

Raja Warring Hits Back: “Mentally Unwell”

Responding to the charges, Raja Warring dismissed the allegations as baseless and challenged Dr. Sidhu to produce any legal documentation—be it an agreement (bayana) or mutation (intakal)—linking him to the Zirakpur land.

In a sharp personal retort, Warring stated, “If I have that much land, let her give me just 10 to 12 acres and she can keep the rest.” He further suggested that Dr. Sidhu is “mentally unwell” and labeled the accusations as a desperate attempt to stay relevant following her suspension.

Upcoming Political Developments

Amidst this intra-party turmoil, Raja Warring confirmed that the Punjab Congress is preparing for a massive rally in Barnala on February 28, which is expected to be addressed by Rahul Gandhi. The rally will reportedly focus on issues surrounding MNREGA and rural development, even as the party struggles to project a united front in the state.
